Full lobbies, not loading screens.

Before anyone can play, they have to download your cars, maps and scripts, and your FiveM or RedM server has to send them. That slows everything down. FXCache delivers those files for you, so players get in faster and your server stays smooth.

  • Works with any hosting
  • Nothing to install
  • Free to start, no card needed
server.cfgbash
fileserver_add ".*" "https://edge.fxcache.net/t/<id>/files"

That's the whole setup: paste these two lines into your server's settings file. You get your own ID and key when you sign up.

Your server sends each file once. FXCache handles every player after that.

Before anyone can play, they download your cars, maps and scripts. Without FXCache, your server sends all of it to every player. Here's what changes when FXCache sends it instead.

Every player downloads every file straight from your server. When everyone rejoins after a restart, they max out its 1 Gbit/s connection, so downloads crawl and players already in the game lag.

Example: 50 players rejoin at once after a restart, each needing 3 GB of files on a typical 100 Mbit/s home connection. Your server has a 1 Gbit/s connection in total, the usual for a dedicated server or VPS, and the game needs 40 Mbit/s of it.

Cloudflare figures from its October 2026 announcement. Network capacity is Cloudflare's total, shared across its customers.

Side by side

Players get exactly the same files either way. What changes is who sends them, and how far they travel.

Questions server owners ask.

Everything you need to know before you install your first component.

  • Before players can join, they download your server's cars, maps and scripts. Normally your server sends those files to every player, which uses up its internet connection and can cause lag. FXCache runs on Cloudflare's global network, which spans more than 340 cities in more than 130 countries. It saves copies of the files there, and each player downloads from the city closest to them.
